q , and this is a fact that is often overseen when we deal with our fellow students. We are independent from UNISA and we help other students in our free time. There are a ton of knowledgeable people in the groups and chances are, someone else already has a solution for your problem. But sometimes… there is nothing we can do, and you have to reach out to UNISA.
The role of admins
- There are 4500+ groups, and we have a small handful of active admins. The role of the admin is to maintain order. Not to be a subject matter expert, nor needed to be enrolled in the particular module they’re present in. The admins are also fellow students. As it is a Student Community, founded by students, and run by students, none of the admins are employed by UNISA, nor compensated for their work.
- There are some admins, who grow groups, encourage collaboration and are experts in a subject. This is not a role of the admin, however they are being a great example.
- Admins are not obligated to respond to inboxed messages, use the bot (see below) for enquiries.
